3 hour stained glass classes are at the Past Lives Makerspace with Amy from Amy in the Aether Art.
During this 3 hour workshop, you will learn how to create your own stained glass UFO sun catcher using the copper foil method from scratch, no experience necessary. I will guide you through the process of cutting glass, grinding it to shape, foiling, and soldering your UFO work of art! All tools and materials are provided and participants will have a wide selection of brilliant colors of glass to choose from and a variety of animals to offer up to our alien overlords.
Please note that creating stained glass is demanding and uses both chemicals and lead. Students will be provided with appropriate protective equipment and are required to wear closed toed shoes and recommended to wear clothing that fully covers their legs. Solo participants must be at least 18 years or older. Students ages 15+ may attend if they are taking the class with a guardian who can sign off for them.
Workshops are available for between 2-6 participants. This workshop option is also appropriate for folks looking for an introduction to stained glass!
