Private Stained Glass Workshop (Friday, 6/13 from 12-4PM)
Intro to Stained Glass Workshop (Copper Foil Method)
This purchase is for a 4-hour workshop from 12PM-4PM on 6/13.
4 hour private and semi-private stained glass classes in the garage of a private residence in Portland, Oregon’s Richmond neighborhood with Amy from Amy in the Aether Art.
During this 4 hour workshop, you (or you and a friend!) will learn how to create your own stained glass suncatcher using the copper foil method from scratch, no experience necessary. Students will have the option to work from a variety of pre-made designs or work with me to create their own simple pattern. I will guide you through the process of cutting glass, grinding it to shape, foiling, and soldering your final suncatcher together to create a unique work of art! All tools and materials are provided and participants will have a wide selection of brilliant colors of glass to choose from.
Please note that creating stained glass is demanding and uses both chemicals and lead. Students will be provided with appropriate protective equipment and are required to wear closed toed shoes and recommended to wear clothing that fully covers their legs. Solo participants must be at least 18 years or older. Students ages 15+ may attend if they are taking the class with a guardian who can sign off for them. Classes take place in my garage, classes can be rescheduled in the case of extreme heat or cold.
$250 for solo, $450 for duo. All materials provided.
